Thanks, DiAne – you both made my day! Happy belated anniversary! Steve and I aren’t too far behind you – we’ll hit 37 years next month.

  • I wandered over for a look Shel – what a great by line – a divorce lawyer who hates divorce! And you are practising for the day your job is no longer necessary – love it!!

Great ideas to keep things going – but of course if they aren’t ‘going’ no amount of banana writing will improve things …… I’m wondering where in my life I could use this little gem 🙂

Thanks so much for visiting, Pauline! Most of what I write about marriage is totally applicable to the other relationships in our lives: parents, siblings, children, friends, etc. Life just gets better for everyone if we express appreciation and stop taking each other for granted.

If you don’t have a grandchild or friend to leave a banana note for (and assuming Orlando doesn’t know how to read!) leave yourself a note in the morning of something you need to do later and crack yourself up with your banana reminder!

      • Great idea Shel – I just might do that 🙂 I’m told it won’t be too much longer before the memory starts going so there’s always the chance I’ll think I really do have an admirer 🙂

  • We do lunchbox notes for one another – the banana is awesome, though!
Love the last one – about insanity? Haha.

Of course you like the last one, Lisa – we’re relate to truth!!

  • I love the banana idea…too cute! We’re big on leaving notes for each other.

      And this one’s like a secret decoder ring – a for-your-eyes-only message!

  • love your images-good advice!

  • Robert Wagner

    You’ve improved MY day…Thank you!

    • Shel Harrington

You’re welcome – and thanks for taking the time to let me know, Robert! Have a great weekend!
