Friday Five. It may be informational, entertaining, inspirational, or some combination. It may be five related thoughts, or five random topics. But it will be short. And it will leave you with a new thought, idea, or smile on your face.
1. Snuggle-wear. During this crazy winter with it’s record snow storms and freezing temperatures, what could be more warming than snuggling with the one we love? Maybe snuggling in his and her nightshirts. The shirts pictured are from Whitman Textiles and show the two color options. Some warm traditional plaids can be found online at L.L. Bean or Vermont Store – as long as you don’t mind buying men’s for both mates.

3. Do things feel a little flat at home? When your spouse asks “How was your day?” do you feel like they are interested in the answer or is it just another way of saying “hello?” Blogger Glennon Melton felt a distance growing between her and her spouse and writes about recognizing it and the fix that worked for them in her article The Questions That Will Save Your Relationship. 4. Good date gone bad.
5. Marital truism.
HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!
love these! that last one is too true, sad and wise words. Good to hear and share though.
So funny about movies, haha!
Shel, would you mind if I borrowed your “Friday 5” idea for my farm blog?
Not at all, Marie – I saw the concept first at Sonia Gensler’s blog (and asked her the same question!) and have extended the use to a second blog that I co-author. It’s just a fun way to end the week!
Haha, love the quote on #5. So very true.
Fortunately there’s a lot of grounds to be found! Thanks for the visit, Rebekah!
Love the Friday Five – hope you don’t mind us borrowing the concept for our great new blog Fat-Bottom-Fifties Get Fierce!
Have at it, Mel!
My life once a week: #4.
You guys agree on a movie every week??? I find that impressive by itself – unless, of course, it’s the same movie that you’ve slept through repeatedly!
#4 is my chuckle of the week! BTW, have been reaching for sweats in FL, too. Comfort cuddles…
Noticed it was bit chilly out your way. A friend in the FL panhandle sent pictures of 3 inch icicles hanging off her roof and I wrote back that they were pitiful. Then I realized that it probably wasn’t intended as a joking contrast to the 6-foot icicles elsewhere – icicles in FL is (are?) newsworthy!
Lol! I love #4! Oh, the snuggle wear is probably the only thing I like about winter. I love curling up with a good book all snuggled.
A good book is the new black – goes with everything! I’m with ya on the the comfy home-wear being a winter highlight – love that flannel (sweatpants have never been appealing to me).
Love #3. I am going to try those questions today. I know it will throw my husband off guard. Can’t wait to see his face when I ask him one or all of those questions.
#4 is SOOOOO me!!!! LOL! By the time we find a movie we agree on, I am out as soon as we get comfy on the couch. Thanks for the awesome post, as usual!
Thanks, Ash! At least you guys eventually do agree on a movie – light years ahead of many!
