HAPPY NATIONAL BACON DAY!

Um…yummy. These look amazing – especially that cheezy bomb one. I made a beer and maple something or other candied bacon a while ago – delicious, but honestly a whole lot of work to get the end product. Bacon should always happen faster!
Hahaha – I’m with you, Lisa, crispy bacon should happen fast. If we can’t have instant bacon we should at least have someone available to get up early and have it ready for us!
fun but fattening…
I think some of this would work with turkey bacon, Lin. But don’t go no fat on the Cheesy Bacon Bomb – the goo is a necessary ingredient! Happy Labor Day weekend!
Anything with cheese is alright in my book, Shel. I love chocolate covered pretzels, but bacon…not so sure. 🙂
Oh yeah – bacon and chocolate totally work, Jill – but I prefer a candy bar with bacon (a little crunch, a little smoke to the chocolate) versus bacon with chocolate. Of course, you’re talking to someone who likes heat with their chocolate (chipotle, cayenne . . . ) too, so you might take my recommendation with a grain of salt. Speaking of salt, sea salt and chocolate is yet another lovely pairing! Hope you enjoy your holiday weekend!
I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed for a bouquet of bacon roses on Valentine’s Day!
Careful what you wish for, Marisa . . .
What a great post, Shel. There’s not a man in this world who wouldn’t vote for you for president. Think I’ll try some of these this weekend. Love the comment “bacon is the duct tape of food.”
Thanks and happy Labor Day.
DiAne
I could never be president, DiAne – they are WAY to busy to have time to make Cheesy Bacon Bombs. Of course, the do have people who could make them – hmmmm … Hope you have a great holiday weekend, too!
