With April Fool’s Day right around the corner, it’s not too soon to be thinking about that harmless prank you want to play on your spouse – so you can be first to say: “April fools!”
Here are 5 possibilities:
1. Change their screensaver. Maybe a jumbo, smiling shot of your face. Or something big, colorful and ugly (these two options are totally unrelated).
2. The old fashioned option. Fixing your mate’s lunch? Nothing like a sandwich with a slice of cheese still wrapped in it’s cellophane to make someone utter: “What the . . . ?”
3. Curl their toes. Put a rubber critter in the toe of their shoe. This one’s not for the faint of heart.
4. Reduce their options. Remove all the socks from his sock drawer – except the one hideous pair you bought just for this special occasion.
5. The Bart Simpson Way. I’m not much of a Simpsons fan, but I checked out a link in Parade Magazine that touted April Fool prank ideas. Reading through 7 of Bart Simpson’s Best Pranks (for the home) had me saying: “Hmmmmm . . . .” [Note: some fun assembly required]
HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!
So cute!
Thanks, Peggy. They were a little tame – I’m already planning something just a tad (but still harmless) more adventuresome for next year!
Too funny!! I need to be a little more devious, though. I’m thinking about “painting” his bath soap with clear fingernail polish. That should do it!!
You need to check out those Bart Simpson options, Lisa – there was one on something to add to liquid soap that made your hands get ‘dirtier’ as you washed!
Very cute! Hubby’s having an overworked difficult time lately so i wouldn’t dare try any of these this year!
You can tell him the NEW water heater broke down – then watch the relief in his face when you (very quickly!) say “April Fools!” On second thought, that might be riskier than some of the other options!
I just might try #3. 🙂 Very enjoyable post! Thanks, Shel.
I’ll listen for the yelp, Peggi! Have a great weekend!
You crack me up…#2…ha ha! Oh, Family Circus, it’s always been my favorite.
Happy Weekend!
Gotta love Family Circus — good one! Not sharing this with the G-man for obvious reasons. 😉
